The basics of existentialism is that we are all alone, free, abandoned in the hostile world and that struggling against coemption, apathy, lethargy, entropy, dogma... 'self-realization is the only thing that keeps us free'. Not that freedom is entirely possible while still controlled by ones biological urges (like survival and reproduction.)
Unfortunately most people think self-realization means acquisition of wealth to make you free to do what ever you want.
I see freedom as a state of mind, even more difficult to exact, like freedom from guilt. We can't live free of duty in a world with other people, but the duty to produce negates the will to create!
The more you adhere to a preconceived view of reality the less self-will you have. I don't trust cerebral religions, once it is written down it become dogma. Humans are not god incarnate, but not for lack of trying.
When some one says, "you are going to hell because you don't believe the gospel", then refuses to take personal responsibility for that judgment: by "believing" that bible concept is true, you participate in that judgment, you objectify your victim. It may keep you from feeling guilt by telling your self that god said it, not you. But by accepting it as truth you make it your own. By his own set of rules, he has condemned him self to a non-free state.
This action is from a loss of faith in freedom, due to not understanding the dangerous concept of freedom.
('fear/ guilt' controls most people’s ability to think clearly about reality and leads to separatism). It's every one’s responsibility to think for them self's and not become cattle by what you’re told.
People have tried for ages to control life’s preposterous situations by creating a rigid implicatory (religious and militaristic), unfortunately trying to eliminate the wide array of variables only makes more and dangerous possibilities.
If man is made in the image of god...it's no wonder that the idea of god is self-contradictory, but belief in materialism promotes Nihilism? So I am trying to develop a good healthy denial system to keep my self from suicide by consumption.

If your mind is not empty, you will see all sorts of symbolism in my pictures. That is a surreal effect mirroring your subconscious back to you, the only way to stop this effect is to empty your mind of preconceived concepts so that you can experience the truth.
Not that sysmbolism is the best thing to use. These minalmalist abtractions are a way to deal with what is lurking at the periphery of my counciousness. If they bother you, you are probably more neurotic than you relize.
